Hey there! So, why me?Â
I created this Inclusion Advocacy Toolkit for parents like us—parents navigating the world of IEPs, special education, and advocacy, all while ensuring our children feel a true sense of belonging in their school community.
I know how overwhelming this journey can be because I’m walking it, too. I have participated in thousands of IEPs as a teacher, bilingual school psychologist, and director of special education. And I have STILL been surprised by how different it feels on this side of the table, as a parent, and I understand the questions, worries, and determination that come with wanting the best for our children.
This toolkit is designed to provide the tools and confidence to advocate effectively, helping our children thrive in an inclusive environment where they’re valued for who they are.
My hope is that it inspires you, helps you to build strong school partnerships, and create a future where your child feels seen, heard, and celebrated.
You’re not alone in this journey. Together, we can make a difference—for your child, my child, and so many others.
