You Don't Have to Do This Alone
Special Education and IEP Advocacy that is strategic, heart-centered, and backed by expertise.

Why Families Trust MeÂ
Â
I know the IEP process because I’ve lived it.
Â
I bring more than 20 years of experience in public education, having served as a general education teacher, bilingual school psychologist, Coordinator of Informal Dispute Resolution, and Director of Special Education. I’ve led IEP teams, drafted settlement agreements, and supported school districts in building inclusive and legally compliant systems for students with disabilities.
My understanding goes beyond professional experience. I am also a parent to an incredible little boy with autism, and I live with a disability myself. I know both the weight of navigating systems that were never built with people like us in mind and the determination it takes to push for change.
I have sat on every side of the IEP table: as an educator, an administrator, a parent, and a person with a disability. These experiences shape how I support families. I understand the questions, the emotions, and the need to make sure your child is seen, supported, and set up for success.
This combination of professional knowledge and lived experience is what makes my work different. I am here to help you approach IEPs, evaluations, and school meetings with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Together, we will make sure your child receives not only what they need but what they truly deserve.
🟦 Essential Advocacy – $3,000/year
🎯 This Package is For You If…
- You anticipate 1–2 IEP meetings this year
- Your child has a relatively stable IEP and service plan
- You’re seeking expert review, preparation, and ongoing strategy guidance
- You feel confident leading some communication but want professional backup
- You’re looking for strong support without intensive involvement throughout the year
💡 This package includes approximately 10–15 hours of direct and indirect support (IEP attendance, file reviews, correspondence, etc.)
❌ This Package May Not Be a Fit If…
- You expect multiple meetings, disputes, or formal resolution sessions
- You need frequent, real-time support or help managing extensive documentation
- Your child’s program involves complex services, disputes, or transitions to new settings (e.g., out-of-district placement, grade-level shifts, etc.)
🔄 Add-On Support Options
If your needs shift during the year, such as more meetings or new concerns arise, you don’t need to change plans completely. You can expand your support with the following add-ons:
🧩 Meeting Add-On: $450 each
- Includes up to 1 hour of preparation
- Attendance at 1 virtual IEP or school team meeting (up to 90 minutes)
- Post-meeting summary + strategy guidance
✉️ Correspondence Support Add-On: $250
- Drafting or editing up to 3 formal communications to the school
- Includes consultation to clarify strategy and tone
- Ideal for prior written notice requests, placement disagreements, or service concerns
⏱ Extended Advocacy Add-On: $1,000
- Adds 5–7 additional hours of support (can be used flexibly)
- Priority scheduling included
📌 Add-ons are available only to active Essential Advocacy clients. If your case becomes more complex, we may recommend transitioning to the Comprehensive plan for better value and consistency.
Start with Essential Advocacy 🟩 Comprehensive Advocacy – $5,000/year
🎯 This Package is For You If…
- You’re navigating a complex or evolving IEP situation
- Your child has multiple related services or layered needs
- You want support with writing/drafting communications to the school
- You expect multiple meetings, assessments, or potential conflict
- You’re seeking a more hands-on partner to monitor progress and advocate proactively
- You may need support with Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) or guidance if formal steps become necessary
💬 And if things get more complicated than expected, I’ll still be here. We’ll work together to adjust the level and type of support you need.
If it becomes appropriate to pursue due process, I can assist with:
- Preparing documentation and timelines
- Identifying and connecting you with special education attorneys
- Supporting you through transitions, whether advocacy continues with me or shifts to legal counselÂ
💡 This package includes approximately 20 hours of direct and indirect support (IEP attendance, file reviews, correspondence, etc.)
❌ This Package May Not Be a Fit If…
- You only need support for one IEP meeting or single issue
- You prefer a one-time consultation or document review
- You are not currently facing IEP or school-based concerns requiring ongoing attention
⬜ Bespoke Advocacy Services
Not sure if one of the packages above is the right fit? Whether you need more (or less!), we can tailor a solution to meet your needs, and most importantly, those of your child.
Here are just a few flexible options:
âś… Consultation and Behind-the-Scenes Support Only
Receive expert advice and strategy while remaining the sole point of contact with your child’s school. No direct outreach from an advocate: just discreet, personalized guidance.
✉️ Correspondence Support Only
We can draft or review key communications, including formal letters, emails, and Prior Written Notice (PWN) requests, to help you advocate effectively and professionally.
🧠Assessment Reviews
We’ll analyze district evaluations (e.g., psychoeducational, OT, speech) and help determine whether they are defensible. You’ll also receive suggested questions and sample language for follow-up letters.
📌 These are just a few examples. If you’re unsure what kind of support is right for your situation, contact Dr. Fannon for a free consultation. Together, we’ll build an advocacy plan that fits your family's needs.
